Requirements and Eligibility:
- The Charlie Foundation Scholarship funds the remaining tuition and required fees for students seeking any degree, diploma or certificate at Piedmont Technical College if the applicant is eligible for any Federal and/or State aid, and after all other financial aid has been applied for.
- Saluda County residency is required.
- Students must have graduated from high school no more than one year prior to the determination of award eligibility.
- The scholarship award is available for six terms, excluding summer, or for three years following the initial determination of eligibility.
- Students must enroll in at least six hours of coursework each term to retain eligibility.
- To retain funding, students follow the rules for Satisfactory Academic Progress, as outlined at https://www.ptc.edu/sap.
How to Apply:
- Apply to Piedmont Technical College
- Submit the FAFSA
- Students must have completed the two steps above and registered for by classes by August 1(Fall Term) or December 1 (Spring Term)
- PTC will screen all applicants and current students meeting the criteria outlined above. The screening process will also ensure they've graduated no more than 12 months prior to the award term.
- Students will be notified of their award through PTC's standard financial aid communications.
